he Technological Development Center of Hangmin Fabrics, East China University is set up by Zhejiang Hangmin Industry Group Co., Ltd. with the cooperation from East China University (the former China Spinning University), specializing in the textile products development, quality check and inspection of products, and talent training. The Center was set up in August of 2001, with total assets over 15 million yuan. It is recognized as the City-level technological development center. Quality inspection center of textiles formally passed the national assessment of China Laboratory in January of 2004.

The Development Center has imported world advanced experimental equipments and inspecting apparatus from U.S., Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan, and other countries and areas, such as infrared ray dyeing sampling machine, heat setting sampling machine, rotary or plain screen printing sampling machine, water-cooling solarization / weather fastness tester and color inspecting and matching instrument, etc. Experts from East China University provide technical supervision. Now the Center possesses 14 professional personnel for scientific research and inspection, 70% of whom are graduates or undergraduates. The Center is made up of three parts: research of new technique and product development, quality inspection of textile, and experimental factory. Departments include comprehensive office, information and data room, designing room of weaving products, researching room of dyeing and finishing, researching room of auxiliary agent, quality inspection center of textile and experimental factory, etc.
